Blushes are a four-piece pop / RnB / rock band based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, and they release their latest track Honey today. Their music features male and female vocals combined with a hybrid electro/acoustic rhythm section to create a distinctive sound, and it’s a fusion that caught our attention on the first listen.
Honey is their fourth single, recorded in late September at Musicland Studios in Haggerston, East London. Delving into their RnB and Hip Hop influence, instrumentally the backbone of the track is it’s punchy retro synth groove, layered up with plenty of guitar work and stacked vocal harmonies.
The band play a launch show for the single tomorrow (13 January) in Wendover, with more live dates to come at The Hospital Club (25 January), Icebreaker Festival in Portsmouth (3 February), before a headline show at The Waiting Room in London (21 February) – tickets for which can be found here.
