South London singer LOOP has released Give ‘n’ Take, a tune with a super-slick, top-drawer pop edge. Of the song, she says: “It is about reaching that point in a relationship where the spark and spontaneity has gone and you need more effort from your partner. It’s quite a fun tongue-in-cheek song but the lyrics are actually really personal as they’re about a relationship with an ex.”
The sparkling pop sound of the track is little surprise given that it was produced by Hight, a London producer with pedigree, including recent work with Anne-Marie, Lily Allen, Tom Walker and Rita Ora.
The London-based singer-songwriter has been steadily picking up rave reviews and loyal fans, selling out a show at London’s Thousand Island last week. Give ‘n’ Take follows a string of catchy, punchy pop releases from an artist who is surely set for a bigger profile during the year ahead.
