After appearing on US reality music competition The Four, Courtney Bucher – known best as Nicolina – is ready to release her own sound into the world.
Her five-track debut EP Caution sees her take full creative control and blends alt-pop with sultry R&B sounds and not mention addictive melodies.
On tracks like stand-out opener Control, the artist explores topics of self-love and independence. While on slow jam Affection she sings about being unable to fight her feelings for a lover, both accompanied by her soulful and unique vocal.
The Florida-born singer whose influences include Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga, launched her music career with YouTube uploads of her covering tracks and remixes to the likes of Kehlani and The Weeknd. Earlier this year she went on to appear on FOX’s new music show The Four with a cover of The Chainsmokers’ Don’t Let Me Down and has since opened for artists including Trina and A Boogie wit da Hoodie proving her potential to cross over with pop and R&B fans.
Now with her first official release, it’s time for Nicolina to take centre stage as a multi-genre artist who has potential to be one of pop’s biggest new rising stars. The EP – Caution – is out now.
