Fresh off the Van’s Warped Tour in the US, YUNGBLUD – aka Doncaster-born singer-songwriter Dominic Harrison – brought his headline show to London for a sold out date. This run of shows is in support of his debut album 21st Century Liability which was released a couple of months ago.
He kicked off the set with the album’s title track, following up with I Love You, Will You Marry Me – there were no engagements at this show, as there had been at a previous show a couple of days before!
It was a high energy show right from the off, with everyone hot and sweaty within the first five minutes. Every track was well-received by an enthusiastic crowd but particular stand-outs were Anarchist, Polygraph Eyes, Machine Gun (F**k The NRA), and California.
The gig also included a preview of an unreleased song Loner, written when Dom was in a dark place. His performance of a mash up of Ariana Grande, Juice Wrld and Nirvana (broadcast last week during a Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 1’s Indie Show with Jack Saunders – listen here) went down a treat, with calls for it to be added to the setlist for his March tour.
YUNGBLUD ended what was a flawless performance with Die For The Hype.
