London newcomers Calva Louise have unveiled new tune I Heard A Cry, offering a glimpse of the trio’s raw potential ahead of the release of debut album Rhinoceros early next year.
Having developed a fierce live reputation within London’s punk scene, the garage rockers have since earned support slots alongside the likes of Albert Hammond Jr, Spring King and Anteros.
With their latest track, the band has set out a real statement of intent. Of the new release, the band said: “I Heard A Cry deals with the misinformation we often feel regarding what’s happening elsewhere in the world. But at the same time, it’s about the will of many people who are trying to inform themselves.”
Calva Louise is Jess Allanic (vocals, guitar), Alizon Taho (bass, backing vocals), and Ben Parker (drums, backing vocals). They are heading out for a month on the road supporting both Hunter & The Bear and then label mates The Blinders. See the full list of dates here.
