Continuing on his journey of releasing a brand new track every month throughout 2018, Essex-based singer-songwriter Dominic Benjamin has gone back to his childhood roots with the release of new track Take Me Back. Consisting of country-inspired acoustic guitars, folk-fuelled harmonicas and gang-sung choruses, the song draws on influences from the likes of The Lumineers to Van Morrison’s Brown-Eyed Girl.

Speaking of the new track Benjamin said: “This track references many locations in my home village. The track is all about the things I did when I was younger and the places I used to hang out. I wrote it after buying my first house earlier in the year and thinking about how I’m finally going to leave the little village I grew up in, but my roots will always be there.”

Take Me Back is the eighth track released this year from Benjamin as he continues to write, record and release as a DIY artist.
