Motherwell-based band The LaFontaines ended their UK/Ireland tour with a London show at Oslo, Hackney.
Since 2015, when they had their debut, they have continued to build a strong following, largely through support slots with high profile acts such as All Time Low and Don Broco. They blend together rap, pop and rock with great ability and their live performances are full of an extraordinary energy.
As expected, this small venue was packed, but their fans are really friendly and easy to talk to about The LaFontaines, enthusiastically sharing with us how many times they had seen the band and their predictions for the night’s setlist.
Frontman Kerr Okan was charismatic and engaging during the whole show and certainly seems naturally at home with an audience. He was not even fazed when a fan jumped on to the stage to dance with him.
And it’s not just the music that is entertaining, but also the crowd that seems to know the lyrics to every song. Fans across Europe still have time to catch the band this month, with several more European tour dates still to come – details here.
