It’s no secret that Black Honey are one of our favourite bands here at Sync. And last night proved exactly why as we saw them dominate the stage at Electric Ballroom, Camden. Marking the end of their UK tour, there was certainly a buzz in the air as the venue began packing out with fans.

Supports for the night were Russo (from across the pond) and Pins (from Manchester). It was Russo’s first time in London and hopefully not the last. Loudmouth, the band’s most popular song on Spotify is an earworm.

Pins were very cool. If there was a female band force to join it would be Pins. They headline at London’s Scala in December.

The main act though were something else. Black Honey drew support of all ages, with younger fans rib-jammed against the barrier. They kicked of the night with the first track off their debut self titled album.

They were clearly amazed to return to Electric Ballroom as the headline act, with talismanic lead singer Izzy Baxter shouting: “This room is still fucking huge!”

But nerves never got the best of the Brighton band as the room danced and sung along to every song. Loud, slick, and immense, Black Honey are a genuine rock & roll band who deserve all the plaudits they’re currently getting.

Set list: I Only Hurt The Ones I Love / Madonna / All My Pride / Bad Friends / Dig / Somebody Better / Crowded City / Blue Romance / Just Calling / Into The Nightmare / Spinning Wheel / What Happened To You / Baby / Hello Today / Corrine / Midnight
