Having played to The Joiners earlier this year, BLOXX returned to Southampton, this time to play a packed-out Heartbreakers as part of their 20-date headline tour.
They kicked off their set with one of their oldest releases, Curtains, before playing several of their other singles, including Monday and Second Opinion, as well as new single, Lay Down. Their unreleased tracks were well-received by the audience, particularly Headspace, due for release in January.
Lead singer, Ophelia Booth was on top form with good stage presence and energy which bounced between the band members on stage and the crowd. Despite nearing the end of their tour, BLOXX were full of energy and enthusiasm with smiles all round. The fans were clearly excited to be there too, singing back all their songs, even the unreleased tracks, proving the dedication of some of their fans.
The crowd went crazy for the final two tracks – another older release, Your Boyfriend and their most popular track and clear fan-favourite, You, which ended in a frenzy of guitar, with guitarist Taz stood on the drum playing his guitar behind his head.
Not only are the band clearly passionate about their music and performing, but they were also keen to interact with fans once the show was over. This hard-working band deserve all the success that will undoubtedly come their way.
