Everything Everything were at their spellbinding, beguiling best at this gig which was part of a series in aid of the charity Warchild. The band has an unfailing ability to make even larger venues like the Shepherd’s Bush Empire feel like a close, intimate space, such is the sense of warmth, power and showmanship that they have honed over the years.

All set against a dreamy lighting backdrop, it was further evidence that the Manchester-based band are really scaling the heights. And there’s the chance to spend New Year’s Eve with them for their show at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse – tickets here.
