If there was ever a voice to get hooked on, it’s Jacob Banks‘. Gaining attention with his EP The Boy Who Cried Freedom in 2017, his fans unsurprisingly cried out for more.
In November, the UK artist released his debut album Village, receiving high praise for his unique take on soul music. Weaving together African inspired grooves, R&B, and soul, Jacob is able to effortlessly blend a number of elements to create a new sound. Combine a unique sound with a hair raising baritone voice and you have a man who will make the world fall at his feet.

We were lucky enough to see him enchant all at this London headline show with the support of Swedish singer/songwriter Anna Leone, who joined Banks onstage for Kumaya.
The past few years has been big for the Nigeria-born singer. Within two years, he’s gone from headlining venues with a capacity of 300 to a huge headline tour that has lead him to perform at the iconic Roundhouse in Camden. The final date of his Village UK tour ended at his hometown of Birmingham, but we hope it won’t be long before he’s back on the road.
