Jerry Williams took to the stage at the Kasbah in Coventry for a set of both old favourites and unreleased tracks. The performance saw the beginning of her UK tour with Manchester, London, Southhampton and Tunbridge Wells up next.

Clever lyrics taking inspiration from both Jerry’s own life experiences and that of those around her, combined with sweet and melodic vocals made for a uplifting set, producing smiles all round from the small but enthusiastic crowd of concertgoers.

And because we can’t resist Jerry, we also headed along to her Southampton show. In what was almost a homecoming gig for the Portsmouth lass, this was another accomplished performance from an artist who continues to grow in stature.

There were plenty of highlights, from the older material such as Mother and set-closing track Boy Oh Boy, to latest single David At The Bar. Raising and lowering the tempo at will throughout her show, it was another cracking performance from a singer-songwriter who we never tire of seeing and hearing.
