North-east singer-songwriter Aidan Martin played an intimate sold out show at The Waiting Room in London. Joining fans were family and friends who gathered around to be a part of this intimate and quite emotional night.
Having caught the eye during 2017’s X-Factor, he has since been working hard to make his music dream a reality. Despite having a challenging past, his songs and lyrics are a positive influence for fans and others who have perhaps faced similar experiences in life. I could feel the pain and the tears during some of his songs and one of the most emotional moments of the night was when he sees his mum crying in the middle of the crowd and he tells her “Mum, don’t cry”. It was very hard not to get a little teary too.
He was joined on stage by his band and backing vocalists for a stomping performance that somehow seemed bigger than its small surroundings.
Before he began, it was a pleasure to see that the support artists were playing acoustic sets. I always find that makes the atmosphere much more intense and intimate. Conrad is a pop-soul singer-songwriter from Cheshire. He is so talented and has such a great voice. Be ready for more music from him.
Jack Hawitt is an acoustic, alt-pop artist based in London. A highlight of his performance came when he played an acoustic cover of Into You by Ariana Grande. It was a real singalong moment to get the evening started.
